Quebec has a globally recognized AI research ecosystem, yet the connection between research and industrial application remains weak. Slow adoption is due to a mix of factors: lack of strategy, insufficient resources, cautious organizational culture, and challenges related to data and regulation. Marie-Pierre Habas-Gerard holds a PhD in Quantum Physics and has several years of university teaching experience. She has complemented her academic background with over 25 years in the private sector, working with international firms as Director of Digital Transformation Programs, as a startup entrepreneur, head of AI Practices, and General Manager of an industrial AI consortium. Marie-Pierre will share her diverse experience in AI, her deep knowledge of Quebec’s public and private AI ecosystem and will present practical approaches to accelerate AI adoption in businesses.
