In this two-day course, you will learn the basics of using FortiManager for centralized network administration of multiple FortiGate devices. Through interactive labs, you will explore deployment strategies, including multiple ADOMs, device registration, policy packages, shared objects, configuration change installation, provisioning FortiManager as a local FortiGuard distribution server, and troubleshooting essential features for daily use after deploying FortiManager.

Audience

Anyone responsible for the daily management of FortiGate security policies using the FortiManager platform.

Objectives

  • Describe the main features and capabilities of FortiManager
  • Deploy administrative domains (ADOMs) to support multiple customers on a single FortiManager
  • Restrict simultaneous access to ADOMs using workspaces and workflow mode
  • Use provisioning templates for device-level changes across multiple devices
  • Identify synchronization states and manage device revision history
  • Manage firewall policies on multiple FortiGate devices using policy packages with shared and dynamic objects
  • Deploy strategies and objects from the global ADOM to multiple ADOMs
  • Understand Security Fabric integration with FortiManager
  • Deploy SD-WAN using centralized management
  • Describe high availability (HA), backup, and restore options for FortiManager
  • Centrally manage firmware for supported devices
  • Provide a local FortiGuard distribution server to your Fortinet devices
